MAN2545 Arts Practice and The Internet
SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
Credit Points: 15

Description:

The Internet has become a key resource for the innovative development and distribution of the arts. In this unit, students will learn how to analyse their own artistic life-worlds and determine and creatively use strategic Internet tools and resources.

Starting with a heuristic model of the “arts value chain”, students will progressively define and identify opportunities to apply Internet tools and models to the creative process and presentation of their art form. Students will develop an individual portfolio of solutions and use and manage one such solution in detail in a group project.

This unit will help prepare students for professional life and further learning by enhancing their ability to develop, fund, perform, market and distribute their art using the Internet and developing their analytical and communication skills.
