NCS2202 Culture and Health
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Description:

This unit provides students with foundational understandings in culture and its implications for health care. Topics such as culture, self and diversity, understanding and valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, cross cultural health and wellness; and migrant health issues will be explored throughout the unit.  Additionally, the concept of values and ethical principles within healthcare communities will be introduced.
