Description:

This unit comprises clinical rotations across a variety of public and private speech pathology clinics located in urban and rural communities. Students will contribute to aspects of the required clinical service to clients with various speech pathologies, from a range of cultural backgrounds. To this end, they will be expected to demonstrate skills equivalent to the entry-level practice of speech pathology as specified by Speech Pathology Australia in their Competency-Based Occupational Standards (2001) document and to reflect on similarities and differences of clinical speech pathology resources and case management strategies for clients in urban and rural communities.
