ENS2214 Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing

Description:

This unit provides students with a thorough understanding of the application of computers in the product life cycle from initial concept formation to final production. Students learn how to apply modern computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) tools to efficiently solve complicated design and manufacturing problems. A commercial 3D modeling system (SolidWorks) and an industrial CNC machine tool are used for laboratory and workshop activities.
