SCI1130 Introduction to the Art and Science of Brewing

Description:

This unit examines the long history of the brewing craft from ancient times and demonstrates the important economic and societal impact that brewing has had. The unit also investigates the more recent development of beer styles and particularly the development of brewing as a science. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of brewing, the raw materials and unit operations involved in the brewing process.
