SPE4100 Clinical Speech Pathology Practicum: Assessment of a Single Case

Description:

This unit links theory and practice in speech pathology to develop specialist evaluation and treatment skills to provide clinical services for a wide range of clients from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The general approach used in assessment is evidence-based analysis and the process of developing an interpretation stream of assessment. The student will identify and diagnose an individual with communication, swallowing or fluency difficulties and will report the planning, action and expected outcomes. The process will then be reviewed in a format suitable for publication in a topic-relevant speech pathology journal.
