Equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate the human resource management function in organisations, or be in a position to recruit, manage, train and develop human resources. Human Resource Management has become an integral part of organisational strategy.
This major addresses the complexity of this function in the context of legal, social and economic developments, as well as providing the practical experience and transferable employability skills of critical thinking, teamwork, communication and problem solving, sought by graduate employers.

This major can be completed off-campus (online) although the full selection of elective units may not be available.

* Students to review prerequisite requirements for elective units.

** Note:Students undertaking this major, particularly international students, may take MAN3350 as a substitute for MAN2601 Employment Relations which is mainly focussed on the Australian context. Local students may take MAN3350 as an elective but are strongly discouraged from making this substitution.


*** MAN3453 The pre requisite unit of MAN2245 has been waived for students completing this unit in the Human Resource Management major only. Students will require assistance from the FBL Student Information Office to enrol into this unit.
