Description:

This unit is designed to provide an insider’s view of organisations and the behaviours which impact on the training function. The unit emphasises i) the contributions of psychology and the social sciences to the understanding of human behaviour in the work place and ii) aspects of corporate governance and financial control which must be addressed by trainers when evaluating the contribution of training to the organisation’s goals.  The unit will be largely ‘hands-on’, requiring application of the theory to contemporary organisations’ problems.
