CHN3109 Working with Children in Community Settings

Description:

This unit focuses on providing recreation programs for children between five and twelve years.  Students will develop safe food handling procedures, the ability to plan nutritious diets for children and to provide high quality recreation programs for this age group. The unit will also focus upon strategies for communicating effectively with children, engaging them in decision making and working collaboratively. This unit is delivered by Central TAFE and due to a current Federal Government initiative is offered to eligible students free of charge.
