MKT1605 Professional Communication

Description:

Personal communication is an essential part of an organisation’s marketing communication mix. In addition, the ability to communicate effectively has been recognised as an essential skill for those wanting to be successful in their studies, in their careers and personal relationships. This skills-based unit uses a number of practical activities to allow students to achieve these essential skills. Students will be given techniques and strategies to: manage speech anxiety; think critically; research, package and deliver logical and persuasive messages; understand cultural and gender differences; and become an effective listener and work effectively in a team. This unit addresses oral and written personal communication requirements of marketing organisations, particularly in the fields of sales and service delivery.
