COU3106 Skills Training in Humanistic Counselling

Description:

This training unit provides an introduction to the practice of a variety of fundamental skills that are grounded in the existential and humanistic tradition of counselling and psychotherapy. The practice sessions will comprise of student’s working in groups of three. Each student will have a number of opportunities to take the role of observer, client and counsellor. Students will also be expected to actively participate in the large group discussions and to critically assess their own work and the work of their peers.
