JLS3403 Japanese (IT Applications in Communication)

JLS2202 Japanese (Intermediate 2)
WACE Stage 3 Level Japanese or equivalent
 
Description:

The unit will provide basic knowledge on the use of computer technology required for students to study Japanese at more advanced levels where they will have opportunities to type assignments in Japanese and read a variety of authentic texts on Japanese web sites.  Focus will be placed on the use of the Japanese word processor and the Internet in Japanese, which will enable students to communicate in Japanese via personal/business letters, e-mails, chat-line etc.  Other class activities in this unit include practicing Chinese characters, learning Japanese culture, reading comprehension, and virtual and verbal conversation practice.
