This unit-set is available for students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Course Code 308), or the Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Business (Course Code K49), who are seeking to include the study of Nutrition within their degree.  A major in Nutrition provides the graduate with foundational knowledge so that they can work in the community in health promotional roles.

 

Students who wish to be eligible for entry to post-graduate courses in Nutrition & Dietetics or who wish to work as a Community Nutritionist, should include - as well as the Nutrition major units - supporting units in Chemistry and Human Biology.  These additional supporting science units should be selected in consultation with the coordinator of Nutrition.

Students are required to successfully complete 120 credit points (eight units) which must include NUT1121 Human Nutrition, together with a minimum of two 2000 level units and two 3000 level units.
