Electrical Power Major

K61 BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING BACHELOR OF LAWS 
 

The Electrical Power major is available to students enrolled in any of the engineering double degree courses. Electrical power engineering is a well established engineering discipline encompassing electrical power generation, transmission and distribution, power electronics, electromechanical systems, and renewable energy. Students will gain in depth knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering and specialist skills in design, development and management of advanced and sustainable electrical power generation and transmission systems. Electrical power engineers have diverse employment opportunities in most sectors of industry, including public utilities, renewable energy, mining and resource, manufacturing, defence, aerospace, chemical and pharmaceutical, and consulting.

 

The Electrical Power major program consists of 15 units (225 credit points) of study as indicated below.
