MIAAEO  Outdoor Adventure Recreation Management Minor

The Outdoor Adventure Recreation Management minor provides students with a specialisation centring on the leadership, programming and management aspects of outdoor adventure recreation. In a range of outdoor settings and contexts, students will develop and apply theoretical knowledge of leadership, programming, group dynamics, natural resource management, agency policy development and legal issues in the outdoors, as well as exploring the impact of the outdoor experience on individuals and society.

 

 

The Minor comprises  of 60 credit points (4 units) as listed in the structure below.

LSC2100 Principles of Adventure Recreation 15
LSC2105 Adventure Recreation Management 15
LSC3100 Expedition Management in Adventure Recreation 15
 
*Bachelor of Event, Sport and Recreation Management students should enrol in LSC3105 Eco-recreation Interpretation instead of LSC1102 which is completed in their core program.
