Description:

This unit is designed to appeal to people from a variety of discipline areas as a means of broadening their world view and their critical thinking about ideas and situations beyond their prior experience.  In this unit, we will examine contemporary and advanced issues relating to the cognitive development and marketing of ideas, i.e. innovation, creative marketing, entrepreneurship, international marketing, social marketing, etc.  The general aim of this unit is "learning by doing" and the unit is designed to enhance students' skill levels leading to more enhanced job opportunities.  The students will undertake the development of a program and its associated business plan, in a context of their choice, with reference to appropriate business concepts.
