CSG2220 Wireless Networking

Description:

This unit looks at the basics of radio frequency (RF) theory covering modulation techniques, spread spectrum technology and antenna design. The implementation of a wireless network is examined which includes looking at the 802.11 protocol, other wireless protocols, and wireless network architecture and devices. Configuration of access points and client cards is conducted, and a site survey is performed. The security of wireless networks is examined, covering susceptibility and available methods of making WLANs more secure.
