This unit introduces students to the traditions of theatre in a non-western culture, incorporating aspects of dance, stage movement, music, language, costume and design. The traditions, the cultural influences and the impact of the Western society will be explored. It is intended that participation in this unit will broaden students' understanding of other art forms, and in so doing, bring new perspectives, variety and creativity to their chosen discipline.
