This unit focuses on the principles of adventure recreation by introducing students to adventure activities including abseiling and bushwalking, and culminates with an overnight adventure tour in the outdoors. Students will concentrate on the leadership and philosophical perspectives of adventure recreation in the natural environment and examine the dynamics of groups and the impact of the outdoor experience on the individual and society.
