Description:

This unit investigates literature as a compelling force of curiosity, compassion, inspiration and action fundamental to a just and global community. In their encounter with literatures from diverse cultures, students will develop critical thinking skills and cultural sensitivity by examining the connections between literature and social change.  Students will learn to analyse texts both as documents from the past and as voices that continue to speak to the interests, desires and problems of today’s society.
