Description:
This unit provides practical preparation for working in contemporary broadcast media. It covers basic instruction in vocal technique and presentation skills, including reading, ad-libbing, interviewing, and observation/description. Technical skills include basic digital audio recording and editing. Students will evaluate a range of broadcasting presentation styles in the context of target audiences, and employ the principles of gathering and conveying information for broadcast.
