Description:

This unit is designed to familiarise students with the theories, institutions and socio-economic forces operating on government in Australia. Topics include constitutionalism, federation, parliaments, responsible government, the public service, the High Court, the electoral system, voting studies, political parties and major interest groups, the republic debate and reconciliation.
