COURSE STRUCTURE The course will comprise eight units drawn from the undergraduate major in the chosen language, commencing at the appropriate level (Introductory or Post-TEE), as set out in the corresponding BA major structure. The Diploma must include at least two third year coded units in the language of study.
The Diploma may be studied alone or concurrently with an undergraduate degree and in the latter case will normally add one year to the duration of the student’s course. When studied alongside a degree the sequence of units must be approved by the School of International, Cultural and Community Studies and the student’s ‘home’ faculty. For most effective language learning the sequence of language units will usually be one unit per semester throughout the four years of the combined diploma and degree program.
Unit enrolments each semester must be selected in consultation with the coordinator of the student’s undergraduate degree program in conjunction with the coordinator of the relevant language study program. |
