Dance Education Minor

The Dance minor is designed for students wishing to teach the subject in a secondary setting.  Education students are offered specialised skills and knowledge in Dance teaching through the School of Education and the WA Academy for Performing Arts (WAAPA). Through lectures and practical-workshop sessions, students will study four units that focus on Dance styles and technique. The methods for effectively teaching this content and the issues and challenges facing Dance in secondary schools will be taught through two key curriculum studies units.
