PER2301 Contemporary Performance Project 1

Description:

A highly practical and experiential unit offering students tools and techniques, studio space, and practitioner guidance towards devising artistic work. These works, which could be major productions or a series of smaller performance projects, are made in collaboration with other students and/or with invited artists from industry. The emphasis is on developing a fluency in performance languages, ensemble skills and creative autonomy, as well as securing practical and philosophical foundations for the student’s evolving practice. Opportunities exist to specialise in roles such as directing, writing, composing, designing and performing, and projects also have the scope to include community based or site specific work.
