Description:
This unit is designed to provide students with an introduction to the study of organisational behaviour, which considers the impact made by individuals, groups and structure on behaviour within organisations. The unit will focus on managerial aspects of organisational behaviour and will emphasise the contribution of disciplines such as social psychology, sociology and anthropology to an understanding of human behaviour in the workplace. Its purpose is to apply the knowledge gained through studying organisational behaviour to improving the effectiveness of organisations. By doing so students will be able to critically analyse how individuals and groups behave in the workplace.
