MPT3202 Holistic Midwifery Care

Description:

This unit further develops the foundations of theory and practice development in midwifery.  Using critical, problem solving approaches, students study and examine the bio‑pyscho‑social and spiritual needs of the well childbearing family.  They participate in the implementation of education programs that address the childbearing family's information needs.  Students also explore emerging models of care and will begin to incorporate their beliefs into a framework for beginning midwifery practice.
