SPE3101 Voice, Swallowing and Fluency

Description:

Students will develop skills in the assessment, diagnosis and management of voice, fluency and swallowing disorders. These skills will be acquired through clinical interviews, language sampling, and other relevant speech assessment procedures. Students will be expected to creatively apply these skills in clinical settings to provide personalised and contextually appropriate assessment strategies when delivering these services to clients of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds. Students will be responsible for the planning and execution of relevant assessment protocols and management strategies, formalised by a learning contract with each of their clinical supervisors.
