M73 Associate Degree of Science (Library Technology)

The Associate Degree of Science (Library Technology) combines a core programme, designed to prepare graduates for a paraprofessional role in the operation, maintenance and utilisation of library systems.

 

Students who complete the Associate Degree of Science (Library Technology) may apply to transfer to the Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) (course E65) or the Bachelor of Science (Communication and Information Technology) / Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) (course B52). They will be eligible for up to two years advanced standing in either course.

SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students studying remotely by flexible delivery should have access to a computer capable of accessing the Internet and downloading online study materials.

ELECTIVE UNITS
The Associate Degree includes four elective units of which two should be at first year level and two should be at second year level. Students intending to continue later to complete the Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) (course E65) or the Bachelor of Science (Communication and Information Technology) / Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) (course B52) should select their four electives from a recognised minor study area, so that in subsequent enrolments they may complete a minor study.
