Description:
This unit provides an introductory overview of the field of human resource management (HRM). It examines the increasingly strategic emphasis of HRM in Australia, and examines the integration of HRM activities and strategies with those of the organisation. The unit explores ways in which the strategic management ‘style’ of a firm influences development of HRM philosophies, processes and practices to acquire, develop, reward, and retain high-performing employees.
