| This unit will introduce students to the function of recordkeeping and its vital role providing infrastructure for organised societies; and, in particular, to the necessity for establishing professionally managed recordkeeping regimes to ensure the capture, identification, protection and accessibility of the recorded evidence essential for the conduct of business, government, education, culture and daily life. The focus will be on developing an advanced understanding of the underlying ideas, values principles and ethics which guide recordkeeping work and their application in a variety of hypothetical and real situations. | |||
