PPA2210 First Professional Practice

Description:
This Professional Practice is an orientation practicum which provides Pre-service Teachers with the opportunity to develop an understanding of schools and schooling from a teacher’s perspective - and to start to learn the complex role of a teacher. The First Professional Practice is a 3 week block Professional Practice period and requires a full time commitment in a secondary school.  During this Professional Practice it is important that Pre-service Teachers learn to work collaboratively with Mentor Teachers, University Colleagues and their fellow students and in a way which makes them an asset to the teachers with whom they are to work and learn.
