This unit involves a detailed review of the rules for the conduct of civil litigation in Western Australia, in a federal court, the Supreme Court, the District Court and Local Court, as well as the State Administrative Tribunal, from the completion of pre-trial proceedings through to judgment (including execution), appeals and costs.  The Rules of the Supreme Court 1971 (WA) will be considered in detail.  Students will be involved in practical exercises including discovery, inspection and interrogatories. Lawyers' professional obligations will also continue to be examined in the context of civil court proceedings.
