K03 Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems)/Bachelor of Computer Science

There is a growing demand in high-technology industries and research centres, especially in the areas of information technology and telecommunications, for engineers with knowledge and professional skills in project management, software development and relevant areas of engineering.  While specialising in the discipline areas of electronic systems, computer systems or communication systems engineering, the double degree programs broaden the overall knowledge of students in areas which are complementary to their technical skills.

All double degree courses require five years of study.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to satisfying standard ECU admission requirements, satisfactory performance in TEE (or equivalent) Calculus or Applicable Mathematics is required. Students who have completed an Associate Diploma or its equivalent in an allied field may be admitted to the Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Computer Science with advanced standing.

COURSE LOCATION
All Engineering components of the double degree courses are offered on the Joondalup campus. Depending on the other component of the double degree program and the choice of subjects, students may be required to travel to either the Churchlands and/or Mount Lawley campuses.
