G89 Bachelor of Environmental Health

The Bachelor of Environmental Health enables students to develop skills in the quantification and assessment of the environment, environmental health risks, and public health safety. Topical and global issues in environmental protection and environmental health are explored, providing students with a wide choice of employment options on completion. 

 

The Bachelor of Environmental Health has been designed to meet the requirements of the Health Act and allows graduates to work as Environmental Health Officers and Scientific Officers, in a range of state and local government agencies, private enterprise and the armed forces.  The course is taught by environmental and health professionals across ECU to provide the most appropriate expertise in this cross-disciplinary area.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The degree has three main components and has a total of 480 credit points:

1. A core program of units completed over 4 years

2. Two elective units

3. Professional practice in the workplace in the 4th year
