E11 Bachelor of Social Work

Graduates of the Bachelor of Social Work will have skills in generic social work practice, as well as specialist skills to practise in regional, rural and remote social work practice settings.  The curriculum is designed to develop social workers who reference their practice within a Professionally Accountable Practice framework, and are able to articulate their practice positions with reference to a clear Personal Practice Model.  The program develops students’ ability to work within a complex, uncertain and contested social work practice environment by developing students’ professional competencies.  Students undertake studies in social work theory, research, politics, policy, law, and ethics, with particular reference to the relevance of this knowledge to practise in regional, rural and remote settings.
