ADS1151 Addiction Studies: Fundamental Concepts

Description:
An introduction to the area of drug use and the addiction behaviours, with particular emphasis on: factors influencing drug-taking and subjective drug experiences; drug-related problems; a critical review of major concepts of dependency and addiction; comparisons between both drug and non-drug dependencies and addictions; case studies, and harm minimisation. The unit is based on innovative social-psychological perspectives.
