FAS2103 Fabric Manipulation
SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ARTS

Description:

The aim of this unit is to gain skills in textile print, chemical process and fabric manipulation as well as understanding textile properties and application.  It will also explore how the critical awareness of the historical and cultural positioning of specific images, patterns and text may locate work conceptually.  It will include an exploration of print and manipulation processes as contextual elements within the work of relevant contemporary designers/collections.
