HIS3134 Revolutionary and Napoleonic Europe

Description:

This unit focuses on European history from 1760 to 1815. It looks at the fall of the French monarchy, the spread of the French Revolution through war and the eventual dictatorship of Napoleon Bonaparte. It also looks at the impact of the French Revolution in England and the United Irish Rebellion of 1798. Although the unit focuses mainly on events in Europe we will also consider the impact of the French Revolution on regions linked to the European world such as the United States and the West Indies, places where the impact of the revolution was hotly contested.
