Organisational Business Development relates to an overview of the external analysis and internal analysis of an organisation. External analysis includes customer, competitive, market and environmental analysis. The Internal analysis includes performance analysis, services analysis, and an evaluation of strategic options. The unit also demonstrates how these areas can be combined to determine growth and future directions of organisations regardless of size.

The Personal Business Development aspects of the unit relate to development of CV, applying for a professional position, interview techniques, professional presentations based on the principles learnt in professional communications and the submission of professional reports.
