SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
Credit Points: 15
Prerequisites:
ENS3341 Signals and Systems
ENS3341 Signals and Systems

Description:
This unit teaches the fundamentals of analog and digital communication systems. It provides an in-depth coverage of continuous wave modulation systems, with particular emphasis on the influence of noise on the performance of these systems. An introduction to digital modulation is also provided towards the end. For each modulation technique, the methods for generation and recovery of the signals are discussed and performance comparisons are made between different implementations.
