M63 Bachelor of Sport Management

The Bachelor of Sport Management prepares competent graduates for careers in various sectors of the sport industry by providing a multidisciplinary program of study. The major provides a multidisciplinary and community sport orientation as distinct from the Bachelor of Business (Sport Management). It includes fieldwork experiences as components of units through which students can experience the application of theory to practice in Sport Management from community to professional sport. The major also enables students to acquire generic knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands in job positions in sport industry: in community/ recreational sport, in state sport associations, events agencies, professional sport and other sport enterprise.

 
Twenty four units of 15 credit points each = 360 credit points. This is made up from fourteen units of 15 credit points = 210 credit points listed below:

To complete a degree students must either undertake a ten unit supporting major each unit being 15 credit points each (eg Sport Science) or a six unit minor each unit being 15 credit points and four elective units of 15 credit points each.
