Description:

This unit engages the student in a detailed examination of the artists, methods and philosophies whose purpose is to free and strengthen physical and vocal expression and articulation. It provides the student with the accumulative, embodied knowledge and training processes they need to begin developing and pursuing their own warm-up regime and self-devising practice. An emphasis in this unit will be on the role of the performer in a chorus, examining physical and vocal approaches to chorus work from historical and contemporary perspectives.
