The Bachelor of Science (Human Biology) is a multidisciplinary course consisting of a Major Study in Human Biology and Minor Studies in any one of several fields. In addition, students are required to select two Elective units based on their needs and interests. Alternatively students may select a Supporting Major from a range of nominated fields.
The Major Study in Human Biology includes studies in Anatomy, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences and Human and Medical Genetics. Each area has units selected to develop skills relevant to the work place.
The multidisciplinary nature of this award prepares graduates for employment in a variety of occupations including teaching, hospitals and biomedical research. Students specialising in Human Biology complete a sixteen unit Major in Human Biology. In addition, they must complete a further eight units in approved combinations including 2nd Major, or Minor and Electives.
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY
The course is available by full-time and part-time study on Joondalup campus.
