The Bachelor of Arts (Justice Studies) award is designed for people with an interest in the justice system. It covers subjects such as criminology, introduction to law and correctional studies.
The degree will allow a graduate of justice studies to be competitive when seeking employment within the justice field. It provides knowledge in a broad range of areas within the field of justice and therefore can lead to an equally wide range of diverse workplaces. The criminal justice system is one of the most popular career paths, with employment in fields such as the court system, government and private prison systems, community based corrections, drug and alcohol treatment programs and offender treatment programs. Opportunities are also available for graduates in areas of civil justice including alternative dispute resolution and policy, planning and legislation within this domain. Prospects also include the area of justice administration in corrective services, police, courts, community, legal institutions and non-government organisations.
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY
The Bachelor of Arts (Justice Studies) course is available by full-time or part-time study on Joondalup campus. It is also available by external study.
