NSP3201 Practice Across Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Care
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Prerequisites:
NSP3202 Proficient Holistic Nursing Care (Specialty)
360 credit points gained in Nursing and Midwifery units in years 1, 2 and 3.
 
Description:

Using a problem-solving approach, students will develop proficient competencies in caring for clients in selected clinical and community settings. Students will undertake clinical practice in a variety of health care settings with a focus on discharge planning. Students will also participate in the practice of community nursing with a focus on meeting the biopsychosocial, spiritual and cultural needs of individuals, families and groups within the community, and promoting wellness. Students will complete a final continuous period of clinical practice in a selected area of interest. Medication calculation competence will also be addressed.
