Description:
This unit provides an overview of the plant kingdom, introducing students to the diversity of fossil and living plants through a comparative study of their morphology and anatomy. The unit will introduce students to the study of plant systematics from a phylogenetic (evolutionary) perspective and demonstrate how plant diversity illustrates evolutionary principles. Australian flora will be emphasised.
