This unit aims to introduce students to the study of the major theoretical approaches to personality. The general approach is that major theories can be seen as offering a particular perspective on human variation. The basic tenets and propositions of each theory will be discussed and illustrated. There will be an emphasis on studying the ways that theories have been applied to practical problems of living. | |||
