This unit introduces the necessary legal background and conventions for students to understand different approaches to governance in Corporations and Incorporated Associations, and their respective fit with corporate social responsibility. The unit also introduces basic Corporate Social Responsibility conventions and principles and their underpinnings in terms of reputation, community engagement, business ethics, and espoused versus enacted corporate values. The perspective of external stakeholders is explored with particular reference to Not for Profit Organisations and their relationships to government and the corporate sector.
