P73 Graduate Certificate in Editing | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
INTRODUCTION The Graduate Certificate in Editing course aims to provide those whose professional duties may involve a significant component of text generation with the basic skills of editing and proofreading necessary to meet community standards or to improve on these standards significantly. This course is designed for university students who have completed a bachelor degree majoring in, for example, communications, public relations, business, interactive multi-media, justice studies, arts administration, children, family and youth studies and English, Drama and Writing. The Society of Editors (WA) supports the principle of this course.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Students must have successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in any field.
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY The course is available by part-time study on Mount Lawley campus. Three elective writing units are available in external mode to facilitate course completion for part-time students.
COURSE STRUCTURE The course consists of four units of study, three of which are compulsory. |
